The twentieth anniversary party has been arranged (details below) call or email for information and tickets (numbers limited!). 

We've had some cool 'local' gigs recently, back at The Anchor, Faversham after a break of about four years!  So it was great to play to a funky crowd 'gettin' on down' on a Sunday evening. The Anchor now being run by Hamish and Claire is a great pub and music venue..we'll be back!

The 'Villager' was great too. Tucked away out there in the woods of Vigo we were treated to a fab audience of real music lovers who really enjoyed our diverse set, some really diggin' the ska tunes, others the recently introduced funky 'Hancock' and 'Crusaders' classics.  Wonderful hospitality too ~ more dates there soon!

Yes it really is twenty years since The Chillbillies seed was planted,  though then the band was a three-piece known as The Charing Hillbillies.  The name was shortened in 1995/96 with introdution of Keyboards and 'The Raging horns'.

'The Raging Horns' TM  continue to work as part of The Chillbillies and the band is always represented by the entire seven piece line up .  'The Ragers'  ~ Jon Peel, trumpet , flugelhorn (b v's) Graeme Turner saxes & Phil Knott Trombone & vocals also work freelance for other projects, gigs and sessions.  Currently they are involved in a  fantastic project called The Heart & Soul, Three divas, based in London.

The Raging Horns are featured on two tracks of  'Lizzie Emeh's'  new release 'Loud and Proud' .  This fantastic album was launched on the 9th October at The Royal Festival Hall, London.  Lizzie was backed by the Heart & Soul band and The Raging Horns playing the whole album 'live' to a packed house. The new release is available on itunes.
 

Phil has just completed some session recording with other horn players on a blues~based album for Roger Cotton called  'a long way back'  available through note music,  www.note-music.co.uk
